Here at JASON we pride ourselves on offering affordable haircare solutions for all the family. Big size products equals big value, a reduction of waste and less carbon footprint in the long run. Here, we guide you through our hair types and our solutions for common hair problems:
Flat Hair
Flat hair is often fine hair. You may find that you have lots of fine hair but it just lays close to your head. Whether your hair is limp or you have fine, flyaway hair, look towards using some products that offer volumising results. Volumising products help to build up hair, giving lift at the crown and the roots so that your hair appears fuller and has added bounce and life.
If this sounds like your hair, may we recommend:
JASON Volumizing Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner
Featuring lavender, evening primrose and sweet almond extracts to strengthen and fortify, and wheat and quinoa proteins to build volume, and jojoba seed oil for softness and manageability.
Thinning Hair
The best hair-thickening products work on two levels; firstly they help temporarily build body around individual hair strands, and secondly they help boost hair growth by stimulating the hair follicle and supplying nutrients necessary for healthy hair. The best ingredients to look for when considering hair thickening products are protein and panthenol - pro-vitamin B5. It’s worth keeping in mind however that some factors, such as the number of hair follicles on your head, are already predetermined, and no amount of hair thickening products can change that. Just try and work with what you’ve got!
The feedback we get from customers about our Thin to Thick Therapy Haircare products is phenomenal! A trio of shampoo, conditioner and hair spray designed to lift and fortify fine hair. Featuring biotin and panthenol which wrap around the entire hair shaft to boost volume and increase the hair cortex elasticity for less breakage.
Alternatively, JASON Restorative Biotin Shampoo & Conditioner features the thickening properties of biotin and pro-vitamin B5 to build body and restore hair’s elasticity. Ginseng and lavender extracts help repair split ends and minimise future breakage, while fortifying Vitamins A, C and E nourish the entire hair shaft for improved volume with fewer fly-aways.
Unruly Frizz
When the cuticle layer of your hair is raised and bumpy instead of smooth, moisture enters the hair shaft and causes the strands to swell. This disturbs the usually neat matrix of your hair’s proteins and creates frizz. Curly hair tends to be more susceptible to frizz than straight hair.
To help prevent and treat frizzy hair you can: ensure you are drinking enough water and eating a balanced diet; massages your scalp to help stimulate oil production in your scalp plus help distribute oil down the hair shaft; once or twice a week perform a deep conditioning treatment; and make sure you are using the right kind of shampoo for your hair, one that is moisturising and nourishing.
For frizzy hair, may we recommend JASON Smoothing Sea Kelp Shampoo & Conditioner with essential fatty acid-rich sea kelp, which helps to rehydrate, bringing softness and manageability to out of control locks. Hawaiian ginger root, frangipani and kukui nut oil help keep any frizz or flyaways from misbehaving come wind, rain or central heating!
Dry & Damaged Hair
Dry and damaged hair can be caused by a number of external factors including: pollution, which damages our hair just the same as it does our skin; over-use of heat styling which can cause dryness; low humidity in winter can dry our hair out; as can coming in from the cold and into overly warm centrally heated offices.
Most people would probably say they suffer from dry and damaged hair at some point in their beauty seasons, and if this sounds like your hair, try JASON Moisturising Aloe Vera Shampoo & Conditioner to replenish needed hydration in hair that’s prone to static and breakage. Formulated with aloe vera, spirulina maxima and jojoba seed oil to deeply nourish and restore hair’s natural moisture balance while horsetail and vitamin E add healthy shine and lustre.
Long Hair Prone to Breakage and Split Ends
It’s only natural that as hair grows longer, it is getting older and therefore more prone to breakage and split ends. To give your hair the best possible foundation for growth, ensure you eat a well balanced diet and be sure to get enough protein, zinc, iron and folate in your diet. When it comes to styling, let your hair air dry whenever possible, try not to overuse heat styling products, and always use product to protect your hair when doing so.
Assist your long hair goals with JASON Long & Strong Jojoba Shampoo & Conditioner. With moisturising jojoba seed oil and chamomile and grapefruit extracts to promote strong new hair growth, plus vitamin B5. Not only good for those with long hair, but great for those aspiring to grow their hair longer and stronger!
Scalp Problems
We are often so concerned with how our hair looks and feels that we don’t take a minute to stop about the health and condition of our scalp. The two most common scalp issues we are asked about are:
i) seborrheic eczema, or dermatitis, an inflammation of the scalp that causes scaly and flaky patches on the skin, which becomes dandruff when they fall off.
ii) psoriasis, another inflammatory skin condition, but it looks very different to eczema, in that the patches are red in colour and dry.
For scalp issues we recommend the following products:
This laboratory-tested, gentle cleanser stops dandruff while controlling scalp dermatitis and mild psoriasis. Featuring a unique combination of FDA compliant dandruff-control ingredients plus nourishing essential oils of rosemary, olive and jojoba, this medicated cleanser soothes, heals and moisturises while it eliminates flakes and itchiness. MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) rebalances and conditions the scalp to prevent future dandruff.
JASON Therapy Tea Tree Normalizing Shampoo & Conditioner
Help relieve irritation and flakiness with Australian tea tree oil, known for its antibacterial and anti-fungicidal properties, while jojoba oil adds needed moisture to the scalp and hair. Aloe vera gel and sea algae extract hydrate and control frizz. Grapefruit extract and protein to purify and fortify hair follicles while soothing calendula, hops, sage extracts and wheat germ oil, help relieve discomfort of itchiness.
