No matter what the task, root yourself in the present. It’s time to #TakeAMoment
Between work and family responsibilities it can be difficult to find time for yourself and practice some much-needed self-care. If you’re feeling stretched, use our guide below to help ground you in mindful moments as you go about your daily routine. From taking time in the shower to reach a new level of relaxation to practicing some calming and recharging breathing rituals, we encourage you to elevate the everyday…
Soak Away Your Stress In The Shower
Start the day as you mean to go on by taking a moment of mindfulness in your shower routine. Rather than a simple wash-and-go, spend time looking after your skin with products that offer a gentle care, and an uplifting fragrance.
Gently scented with botanical ingredients, the JĀSÖN® Body Washes encourage you to take a conscious moment for self-care. Infused with Vitamin E and Pro-Vitamin B5 they cleanse and balance your skin while the relaxing infusion of chamomile, shea butter and Himalayan pink salt (amongst other natural ingredients) helps calm and de-stress your mind. Helping you step out of the shower with a relaxed mindset.

Ground Yourself With Breathing Rituals
Consciously coming back to your breath is one of the easiest ways to find a moment of mindfulness. Too often, our breathing can become shallow and fast when we’re feeling stressed or busy, but getting into the habit of checking on your breathing patterns can help fix this. The simplest way to find your way back to your breath is to sit or stand, relax your shoulders and follow the exercise below:
- * Take a slow and deep breath in for five seconds
- * Hold the breath for five seconds
- * Breathe out slowly for five seconds
Repeat this technique at least three times to help calm your state of mind and bring your breathing rate down to a slower, more relaxed pace.
Take A Moment To Meditate
Throughout your day, there will be periods of rest and in these moments, you can practice stillness. Meditation has often been thought of as a practice that takes only peaceful conditions, absolute silence and hours to complete but in reality, meditation can be taken in small bursts with beneficial effects.
To help clear your mind before a big meeting or de-stress from a busy morning, use smaller breaks throughout the day to practice meaningful breathing and stillness. Even if you’re waiting for the dishwasher cycle to end or have a spare few minutes between zoom calls, short bursts of meditation can have a positive effect. Use apps or video guides if needed to help make the most out of these short moments of time.

Find Peace In Familiar Routines
Doing the laundry, washing the dishes or folding clothes may not be the most exhilarating tasks but there can be moments of mindfulness in these routine jobs. The next time you’re tackling your to-do list, practice bringing awareness to the tasks you usually do on auto-pilot, this will create opportunities for gratitude.
For example, doing the dishes means that your family is well-fed, washing clothes means you have access to clean water and a busy household, both of which offer up moments for you to feel blessed. Accepting these activities as part of life’s joys rather than seeing them as a burden, takes an everyday task and makes it a more mindful exercise.
